One-stop voting for this year’s municipal elections begins Oct. 14 and will end on Oct. 30. One-stop voting will occur at the Board of Elections located in the Skyland Service Center at 876 Skyland Drive, Sylva from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30.

The Sylva Herald, in conjunction with Chris Cooper and the Western Carolina University Public Policy Institute, sponsored a candidate question forum via Zoom on Oct. 11.

Questions were presented by Cooper and Jim Buchanan of The Sylva Herald to give voters a chance to get to know the candidates who hope to help lead Sylva into the future. The forum can be accessed at:
