A woman accused of prostituting her minor daughter in exchange for drugs and the man who participated were sentenced by Judge Brad Letts on July 31 in Jackson County Superior Court.

Christopher Buddy Fisher, 23, of Molasses Mountain Road, Sylva, and Guadalupe Carolina Guerreo, 27, of Dicks Creek Road, Sylva, pleaded guilty to a variety of charges related to the case.

Fisher was sentenced to 9-15 years and given credit for 353 days served. He pleaded guilty to attempted statutory rape of a child and felony conspiracy. He was ordered to register as a sex offender for 30 years, pay costs and have no contact with the victim. Substance abuse treatment ,psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and the DART program were recommended.

Guerreo was sentenced to 6-12 years and given credit for 396 days served. She pleaded guilty to three counts of soliciting to commit first-degree statutory rape. She was ordered to register as a sex offender for 30 years and pay costs. Substance abuse treatment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and the DART program were recommended.

The pair were indicted by the Jackson County Grand Jury on July 3, 2018.
