THE REV. PAULA CLEGG MORTON...
who grew up in Sylva and has spent most of her ministry here, has accepted a call to be rector of the Church of the Transfiguration in Saluda. The daughter of the Rev. Robert and Elois Clegg of Whittier, Morton majored in English at Western Carolina University. She attended Virginia Seminary where she met and married a fellow student, the Rev. John Morton, who is now rector of St. John in the Wilderness in Flat Rock. They have 3-year-old twins, Ruth and Turner. A celebration of a new ministry service was held for her on Oct. 20.
THE GREENHOUSE....
Sushi Bar & Grille will present "Rocky Horror Picture Show" tonight (Thursday) at 10:30 p.m. on the downtown restaurant's patio. Admission is $2, but those in costume will be allowed in for free and will be eligible to enter the costume contest. Apollo and Charles Wu will be featured after the movie. Participation in this event is limited to those age 21 and older.
RALPH J. ANDREWS CAMPGROUND...
on Lake Glenville, operated by the Jackson County Recreation and Parks Department, is now closed for the season. The campground will reopen in April.
MOUNTAIN HERITAGE DAY, ...
Western Carolina University's annual celebration of Appalachian folk life, is the subject of a 30-minute documentary to be broadcast in November on the statešs public television system. The program will air on UNC-TV at 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, and will be shown again at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5. It will include film footage from the 28th Mountain Heritage Day, held Sept. 28, as well as interviews with festival organizers and local folk artists.
Once called "an open textbook of Appalachian folk life" by Southern Living magazine, Mountain Heritage Day is held on the last Saturday each September and typically draws upwards of 25,000 people to enjoy three stages of traditional music and dance, dozens of demonstrations of authentic mountain folk arts, and craft and food booths along the midway.

SOUL INFUSION...
Tea House & Bistro will hold its first ever "Halloween Ho-Down," a fun celebration of mountain-bred music, tonight (Thursday) beginning at 8 p.m. with local Cullowhee jam-rock band "Chocolate Test" followed by authentic foot-stomping bluegrass from the Saw Mill Creek Porch Band of Bryson City. Costumes are encouraged and a full dinner menu will be available until midnight. Weather permitting, the show will be performed outside in the Soul Infusion music garden.
