needs volunteers to assist in building a new home in Sunrise Park. Workdays are scheduled for the next two Saturdays, July 7 and 14. Work periods will be from 8 a.m.-noon and from 1 to 5 p.m. each day. Volunteers are needed to assist experienced carpenters with framing and landscaping tasks and to prepare and serve food, snacks and drinks to the workers. Volunteers should bring their own tools (rakes, post hole diggers, etc.) Parking space is limited so car pooling is encouraged. The building site is beside the newest Habitat home at 293 Sunrise Park in Rhodes Cove. Those interested in helping may call the Habitat office at 293-0271 and leave their name, phone number, date available for work and type of work preferred. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing in our communities by building decent, affordable housing. Homes are built in partnership with selected applicants who qualify based on need, income guidelines and the ability to work in the building of their homes. For more information, call 293-0271 or 586-9050.
