BILL MOORE ...

Bill Moore of Woodmen of the World/Omaha Woodmen Life Insurance Society has qualified for membership in the President's Clubs. Moore's membership in the Millionaire Section of the club is in recognition of outstanding insurance sales production and professionalism during the past year. Members of the clubs will be guests of James Mounce, Woodmen national president, in Las Vegas June 17-20. Founded in 1890, Woodmen is one of the largest fraternal benefit societies in the country and offers insurance protection with fraternal benefits.

RAY'S FLORIST ...

is featured this week in our Business Spotlight. He is offering a variety of hanging baskets, beautiful plants and other items especially for Mother's Day. Be sure to check Ray's color ad on the back page of this section.


SMOKY MOUNTAIN HIGH ...

will present Rogers and Hammerstein's "Oklahoma!" Friday and Saturday, May 11 and 12, in Western Carolina University's Hoey Auditorium. Directed by Tinnie Salzano, the musical stars Amanda Humes as Laurey; Michael Ayers as Curly; Cara Reid as Ado Annie; Josh Hamilton as Will; and Martha Neslen as Aunt Eller. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling Tinnie Salzano at 631-3594. Cost is $7 for general admission and $5 for students and senior citizens.


IN LAST WEEK'S ...

Ruralite Cafe, we accidentally listed the man who named the old Argura Post Office as Coy Melton's great-grandfather, James Melton. It was actually Coy's maternal grandfather, James Crawford, who came up with the Argura name.
