The event will be a four-man captain's choice and will have a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Players will compete in two flights. Prizes will be awarded for longest drive and closest to pin. A three-day...
all-volunteer camp for area girls is being organized by the Jackson County Girl Scout Service Unit. The camp will be operated from about 9 in the morning until 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, June 18-20. Activities, including swimming, will be held at Sylva's Poteet Park. Volunteers, who must be 18 years old, are needed to serve as group leaders and be willing to become registered Girl Scouts.
