COMING TO HARRAH'S...

next week is country legend Roy Clark. When country music first crossed over onto the pop charts, it was Roy Clark who did it. When Branson, Mo., became the live music capital of the world, boasting more seats than Broadway, it was Roy Clark who started it. Clark also started "Hee Haw," the longest-running syndicated television series in history - but don't expect him to take credit for it. "Hillbilly singer" Clark will be in Cherokee Friday, March 31, for an 8 p.m. show. For tickets information, call 1-800-HARRAHS. Good guy Clark remains among the most popular of entertainers. Don't miss this big show.

LOCAL BAND K-BOTS...

a truly unique Cullowhee group, will perform at Crossroads Friday, March 24, at 9:30 a.m. Admission is $5. K-Bots emerged from Unscented Muzak, a collection of outstanding Cullowhee musicians who have played locally for the past several years. Members are Jonathan Wertheim, Scott Denmon, Brooks Butler and Eric Mrozkowski. K-Bots will be joined Friday night by guest percussionist Chris Gammon. The band has a very heavy electronic feel at times that Denmon describes as a "good way for music fans who shy away from electronic music to gain an appreciation for what electronics can be when shared in a tasteful fashion with different organic musical styles." K-Bots has been described by a converted Skynard fan as "like Pink Floyd times a thousand."

PLAYING CROSSROADS...

next Thursday, March 30, will be Gran Torino, Knoxville's high-energy rock/funk/jazz/soul combo. Co-sponsored by WCU's Last Minute Productions, tickets for the 9:30 p.m. performance are $5 with student I.D. or $8 for others. For information, call Crossroads at 631-3322.
