Traveling to imaginary lands

Telling stories Herald photos by Rose Hooper

"Come follow me to imaginary lands," storyteller Bobbie Pell beckons to participants in the Jackson County Public Library's Summer Reading Program. As a wrap-up of the six-week program for preschool through second-graders, children were able to select their favorite sticker and book and enjoyed sitting under a shade tree Friday morning, July 21, to hear Pell bring stories to life. Pell accented her stories using the guitar, mountain dulcimer and a unique drum.
