Western Carolina edges Citadel on late TD pass to Brad Hoover

Jeb Hall wraps up Citadel quarterback Joe Call in Western Carolina's 24-17 victory Saturday. The Catamounts limited Citadel to 163 rushing yards in the Southern Conference game.

Brad Hoover went 65 yards after catching a screen pass from Shawn Snyder with 3:16 left in the game Saturday lifting Western Carolina to a 24-17 victory over Citadel.

The Catamounts concluded the football season 3-8 overall and 2-6 in the Southern Conference. Citadel wound up 2-9 and 1-7.

The game was originally scheduled for September, but Citadel cancelled it due to Hurricane Floyd. Only 5,622 fans showed up for the makeup date at E.J. Whitmire Stadium/Bob Waters Field.
