Asheville put the clamps on Smoky Mountain's high-powered attack while compiling 411 yards of total offense in routing the Mustangs 43-0 Friday in the first round of the state 3-A playoffs at Asheville.
SM finished its season 6-5. The Cougars (9-2) will face East Henderson next week in the second round. Asheville's victory margin was greater than last year when it defeated SM 48-9 in the playoffs. Mustangs continued . . . |
