Derrick Hawk leads Mustangs past Tuscola

Brent Ammons of Smoky Mountain High Mustangs

Converted lineman Brent Ammons (70) did a good job blocking for Smoky Mountain Friday from his fullback position and he also was effective running the ball. He carried six times for 35 yards and a touchdown in a 28-21 victory over Tuscola.

Derrick Hawk accounted for 190 yards of total offense Friday leading Smoky Mountain to a 28-21 Western Athletic Conference victory over Tuscola at Carr Hooper Stadium/Babe Howell Field.

Hawk, the Mustangs' quarterback carried 13 times for 122 yards and a touchdown. He completed six of 10 passes for 68 yards.
