Ingles helps ‘Feed the Cats’

Ingles recently made a large donation of peanut butter to Western Carolina’s Athletic Department for the Feed the Cats Program. The Feed the Cats program provides supplemental nutrition to WCU student-athletes, especially during the summer. “Each day our student-athletes must make a huge commitment to refueling their bodies the right way so they can be ready for the upcoming season,” Barr said. “This inventory of peanut butter courtesy of Ingles will go to good use as it is a staple for our student-athletes to aid in recovery from workouts over the summer.” “The support we’ve received from Ingles has been tremendous,” said Chad Gerrety, WCU associate athletic director for external affairs. “They have had a positive impact on our athletic department in many ways, including catering, financial support, gift-in-kind, media exposure and marketing. It’s truly been an amazing partnership, and we are very grateful.”
