Davidson had six players score in double figures en route to a 101-51 non-conference women’s basketball victory over Western Carolina on Nov. 20 at Davidson.

Suzi-Rose Deegan led the Lady Wildcats with 16 points. Sarah Konstans and Cameron Tabor both added 14. Sarah Donovan netted 12, and Chloe Welch and Saeeda Abdul-Aziz had 10 apiece.

The team fired away from outside and hit 14 of 25 three-pointers.

Western’s Jewel Smalls had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Teammates Lauren LaPlant and Andrea Martin-Ruiz both scored 11 points.

Davidson scored the last 13 points of the first quarter to lead 31-9 after Konstans’ follow shot with 1:14 on the clock.

The Lady Wildcats also ended the half with 13 consecutive points, including five by Deegan, for a 56-21 advantage.

They were on top 73-41 entering the fourth period.

Adelaide Fuller’s layup finished a 14-3 run for an 87-45 lead at the 5:43 mark.

Davidson surpassed the century mark as Konstans’ three-pointer was the final basket of the game with 51 seconds on the clock.

The Lady Wildcats shot 53.7 percent from the floor, including 61.1 percent in the first half. WCU made 32.3 percent of its attempts.

Fuller’s eight rebounds helped Davidson to a 43-38 advantage on the boards.

The Lady Wildcats committed just four turnovers, while Western had 15.

Completing the WCU scoring were Tembre Moates with six, Judith Martin-Ruiz with five and Jada Miller with four.
