Western Carolina senior Lindsey Trotter and sophomore Siena Gates both recorded personal record 6K times as the duo ran at the NCAA Southeast Cross Country Regionals held Friday at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Virginia.

“We had two good performances,” Coach Jesse Norman said. “Lindsey bettered her all-time performance while Siena moved up with her performance. I’m excited about what this will do for the upcoming track seasons.”

Trotter finished 89th with a personal-best time of 22:03.9. Gates was 146th with a time of 22:49.6.

The N.C. State women and Virginia men won team titles. Furman’s women came in second, and the men were fourth for the best showing by Southern Conference squads.

Elly Henes of N.C. State was the individual winner in the women’s race with a time of 19:48.90. Virginia Tech’s Peter Seufer won the men’s 10K in 29:20.7.
