Smoky Mountain’s golfers played in a pair of recent matches.

Payton Broom equaled her career best score of 46 last Thursday at Mill Creek.

Chesney Coggins shot 53 for the Lady Mustangs.

Broom was the only SM golfer to compete Sept 7 at Lake Junaluska, where she shot 49.

“I’m super proud of them,” Coach Megan Dezarn said.

“This was a really good week,” Dezarn added. “The weather was wonderful. The girls are starting to get into the swing of the season and starting to hone in on their different skills. Hopefully we will continue to progress over the next couple of weeks leading up to conference.”
