The Mountain Six Conference Basketball Tournament will get under way Friday with the six seeds playing at the three seeds and the five seeds playing at the four seeds.

Smoky Mountain’s women are seeded fourth and will be at home at 6:30 p.m. Friday against fifth-seeded Hendersonville. The winner will play top-seeded Franklin at 4 p.m. Tuesday at East Henderson in the semifinals.

The Mustang men tied with Pisgah for second and received the second seed and a first-round bye through the tie-breaking procedure. They will face third-seeded Pisgah or sixth-seeded East Henderson in Tuesday’s semis at 8:30 p.m. at East.

The Lady Mustang JVs will be at home against Pisgah and the JV men will play at Pisgah. Those games will be at 5 p.m. Friday.

Championship games will be played next Thursday at East.

The SM men (13-9, 7-3) won 66-50 Tuesday at Franklin. Mitch Wike scored 20 points, while Conner Seagraves and Zeb Sink both had 12.

The Lady Mustangs (12-10, 5-5) lost 41-30, Natalie Parris had nine points.
