Jerry Rodinsky shot a hole-in-one during the Jackson County Golf Club’s tournament last week at Waynesville Country Club.

Ken Hooper won the Jackson County Golf Club’s tournament played Nov. 9 at Waynesville Country Club, but Jerry Rodinsky had the biggest individual moment with a hole-in-one.

The ace came on the par 3 #5 hole on the Blue Ridge course.

Hooper finished with a net score of 65 and had the low gross score of 70. Rick Hager and Buddy Kennedy both had net scores of 67.

Hooper led in the front nine (Blue Ridge) with a 30. Howard Buchanan, Mel Livernois and Steve Shumaker all shot 34.

Kennedy was tops on the back nine (Carolina) with a 28. Hager shot 32, and Roy Osborn was at 33. Not only did Rodinsky have the hole-in-one, but he was also closest to the pin on the Carolina #4 par 3 hole.

Others coming closest to the pin on par 3’s were Osborn (#8 Blue Ridge) and Betty Henderson (#7 Carolina).
