Local swimmers top Black Mountain, Asheville at home meet
With only 35 Jackson County swimmers to Franklin's 80, competition was tough July 6 at the Sylva Pool.

"We swam some great races and all the swimmers gave their best. I was very pleased with everyone's performance," said Coach Pat Briggs. Final score was Franklin 335 to Jackson's 270.

Those finishing in the top three positions for Jackson County were:
