Alannah Gayle Brown and Trinity Charles Blackburn were united in marriage at 4 p.m. on Saturday June 18, at Sunrise House of Worship in Dillsboro.
The Rev. Jeff Powell performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Virgle and Shannon Brown of Tuckasegee’s Little Canada community. She is the granddaughter of Dorothy Connor and the late John Connor of Dillsboro, and Mary Brown and the late James Brown of Tuckasegee, and is the great-granddaughter of Trophna Collins of Charlotte.
The groom is the son of Charles and Gracia Blackburn of Sylva’s Scotts Creek Community, and the grandson of the late Denton and JoAnn Mathis and the late Lucille Blackburn.
The bride was given in marriage by her family, and escorted down the isle by her father. She wore an A-line white dress that was off the shoulders; it had hand beading and sequins and lace appliques. She also wore a veil. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and calla lilies with baby’s-breath and cascading white flowers. In memory of her grandfathers, two small photos, one for each of them, were placed in the bouquet. She also carried a small white Testament in memory of close family friends, Charles and Nancy Heffner, who gave the Bible to her at birth.
Matron of honor was Kimberly Williams of Charlotte.
Bridesmaids were Heather Bryson and Brittany Shank of Sylva. Junior bridesmaid was Ashlyn Sams of Sylva. Flower girls were Kylee Shank, Finely Webb, Haileigh Bryson and Maci Bryson.
The best man was Colby Buchanan of Sylva.
Groomsmen were Dustin Bryson of Sylva, and Cody Brown of Tuckasegee. Junior groomsmen was Connor Brown of Tuckasegee. Ring bearers were Nathaniel Stewart, Landry Webb and Cooper Bryson.
A reception followed in the church fellowship hall.
The bride is a 2010 graduate of Smoky Mountain High School. She is employed by Walmart and works in customer service.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of Smoky Mountain High School. He is employed as a road tech with Harrison Construction Co.
The couple will make their home in Dillsboro.
