Smoky Mountain defeated Franklin 54-21 in Western Athletic Conference wrestling action Friday at the SM gym.
"We really needed that match," Coach Ian Roper said as the Mustangs improved to 16-7 overall and 2-3 in the WAC. "We've had a hard time in the conference. Keeping in mind how young we are and that our conference is probably the toughest wrestling conference in the state, it's understandable our kids got down. We needed something to turn us around, and hopefully this is it." |
