The Sylva Garden Club marks 60 years of plantings around downtown. Their work can be seen up and down Mill and West Main streets, on the bridges, in the parks and pretty much anywhere there is available soil. “They’re a great asset for the town,” Sylva Public Works Director Jake Scott said. “We would not be able to have the planters or the bridge baskets without them, that’s for sure.”
