Arlene Bishop, 80, of Franklin went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late David Brown Bishop and Julia Ann Freeman Bishop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Huffman; three brothers, John W. Bishop, Edgar Bishop and Eullis Bishop; and three sisters, Loraine Royal, Gladys Pendergrass and Callie Cabe.
Arlene was a devoted Christian and member of First Assembly of God Church. She worked at Harris Regional Hospital for many years.
She is survived by her five sisters, Christine Brooks of Waynesville, Mildred Robinson of Buford, Ga., Jo Auleta of Weaverville, Kitty Bishop of Sylva and Pauline Mathison of Gastonia; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov, 10 in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Bishop officiated.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Wilson, Travis Mulcahy, Dwight Bishop and Rodney Bishop.
