Ruby Green

She was born on June 25, 1939, to the late Thurmen Roper and Elsie Barnes. She was a member of the Whittier Church of God. Ruby worked at Skyland Care Center for 23 years. She loved all her co-workers and residents.

She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, sister and faithful servant of the Lord. Ruby enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Green; sisters, Robbie Smith and Diane Bryant; and nephew, Lyle Cabe.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Simonds (David); sisters, June Cook, Mary Passmore (R.L.); two grandkids, Jason Richmond, Brooke Crouch (Sean); two great-grandkids, Waylon and Wrenley Crouch; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at noon Saturday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Pastor Shane Silvers officiated, with burial in the Union Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends from 11 a.m. until noon Saturday at the funeral home.
