Clarence Robert “Bobby” Stephens of Bryson City gained his heavenly wings on Jan. 19, 2021.
He was an employee of Phillips and Jordan. He was a former employee of the NCDOT.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Marlow Stephens, and Phillip Robert and Armendia Bishop; and his mother, Jean Stephens.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Brenda Stephens; his father, Dallas Stephens and stepmother Alta Stephens; his three sons, Phillip and Ashley Stephens of McAlester, Okla., Matthew and Tereasa Stephens of Bryson City, and Riley and Holly Griffin of Bryson City; his daughters, Ashley and Richard Wright of Sylva and Madison Backwater of Cherokee; his loving grandchildren, Aaliyah, Brinley, and Caybree Griffin, R.J. and A.J. Stephens, Kayla and Jolee Stephens, and Preston and Irie Wright; his brother, Dallas and Michelle Stephens; and his sister, Anita and Robert Wieser; and a special sister-in-law Beverly Stephens; as well as many loving nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Marty Pressley officiated.
The family received friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home.
