Frances Nations Anderson, 93, of Waynesville passed away on Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at Autumn Care of Waynesville.
A native of Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late Harley and Hester Nations. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Frances worked at McDonald’s and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 28 years. She loved to travel, especially to New Jersey. Frances enjoyed attending church and gospel singing.
Frances is survived by her husband of 17 years, Sam Anderson; sister, Shirley Nations of Sylva; and two brothers, Eugene Nations, and his wife, Linda, of Canton, Ga., and Vance Nations and his wife, Libby, of Sylva.
Funeral services were held at noon on Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Dillsboro with Rev. Tommy Ashe officiating.
Burial followed at Nations Creek Cemetery.
The family received friends from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.

The care of Mrs. Anderson was entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
