Fannie Mae Trantham Thompson, 81, of Sylva, passed away Tuesday Sept. 1, 2020, at her residence.

Born Aug. 22, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Phil and Mary Belle Trantham. Fannie loved her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She was a loving mother and a Christian lady. She was kind to all her friends and loved ones.

In addition to her parents. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Terry Hoyle.

She is survived by two daughters, Ivanell Hoyle and Connie Smith, both of Sylva; three grandchildren, Krystal Hoyle (Jared) Shuler, Marie Hoyle and Ivan Knight, all of Sylva; two great-granddaughters, Addison and Kinsley Shuler; and her loving caretaker, Debbie Wood.

A graveside service was held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020, at Greens Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating.
