Onies Kenneth “Ken” Carr, 76, of Whittier, N.C., passed away Wednesday evening, Feb. 1, 2023.
A U.S. Army veteran, Ken retired from the military as a MSgt. He was a native of Alabama, and the son of the late Goldie White. He had resided in Jackson County for over 35 years. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother, Ken was preceded in death by a daughter; Heather Carr; and by nine of his siblings.
He is survived by a son, Eathon (Nita) Carr of Whittier, N.C., a daughter, Brandi Oliver of Indiana; stepson, Dennis Baldwin of Whittier, N.C., sister, Faye Armstrong of Alabama; and 13 grandchildren.
