Dorothy W. “Dot” Hooper, age 91, of Tuckasegee, passed away Dec. 3, 2020, after a period of declining health.
Dot was born in Tuckasegee to Alvin and Fern Watson and lived most of her life in the valley she loved so much. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family and enjoyed the summertime working in her flowers.

She was a member of Tuckasegee Baptist Church, where she was the oldest living member. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and worked as a precinct worker for River Township for many years. She was also a charter member of the East LaPorte Chapter of the Eastern Star.
Dot was a fan of Atlanta Braves baseball and Duke basketball. She loved working crossword puzzles in the winter when she could not be outside working in her flowers.
