The church held a Sept. 14 singing and hot dog supper to raise funds for their local school, Cullowhee Valley. Visitors were entertained by Isaac’s Well, Work in Progress, Monica Stephens, Gospel Messengers and Black Mountain Old Men’s Group. The church hoped to raise $300 for Cullowhee Valley. Instead, they were surprised with more than $1,900 of donations. Black Mountain plans on sharing these funds with elementary schools throughout Jackson County.
