Kathryn Bridgers

Laura Lindsay of Webster graduated with a bachelor of science in nursing degree at the commencement service from Berea College in Kentucky.

Townsend Stewart of Cullowhee earned a bachelor of science degree in management from Berry College.

Sylva resident Kathryn Bridgers was a three-year boarding student at St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School, and recipient of this year’s Head of School’s Award. She graduated as a high honors student, a proctor, a member of the Honor Council and president of the school’s Art Club. Bridgers will attend Appalachian State University. She is the daughter of Sean Bridgers and Rachel York-Bridgers.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School recognized two Jackson County students for outstanding academic achievement. Jackson Bloom of Cashiers won the Harvard Club of Georgia Book Award. Sophie Biaso of Sapphire was awarded the Wylder Nichols Memorial Scholarship. Also graduating were Abigail Waters of Sylva, Hayden Turner of Cullowhee and Monserrath Marquina of Sapphire.
