Western Carolina University’s Hunter Library received over $49,000 as part of $2 million in 2019-20 Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grants for local North Carolina libraries.

N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Secretary Susi H. Hamilton today announced LSTA grants are distributed through the State Library of North Carolina in response to specific needs of public, academic and community college libraries. These federal funds are investments that help libraries deliver relevant and up-to-date services to their communities. This year’s 2019-20 LSTA grants total over $2.3 million and include 43 awards for local library projects that strengthen capacity, expand access and engage communities.
