The Highlands-Cashiers Health Foundation has announced that Director Robin Tindall has informed the board of her intention to retire at the end of 2023.
Tindall will retire after serving five years in her current role with the Health Foundation. The board has initiated a comprehensive search for her successor.
“Leading the Foundation has been the privilege of a lifetime,” Tindall said. “My retirement represents the culmination of more than three decades in the non-profit health field. As I reflect on my tenure here, I am extremely proud of the drive and dedication of our Board of Directors to improve health and well-being for all people. I am also profoundly grateful to our donor legacy for their continuing trust and support. Together, we are leaning into our community and advancing the Health Foundation’s mission by investing in a broad spectrum of projects that are transforming lives today. I am energized to continue to lead our Health Foundation for the remainder of the year and am committed to facilitating a smooth transition.”
“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Robin for her tireless dedication to the Health Foundation; her contributions are countless,” said Dr. Barbara Corcoran, chair of the Health Foundation Board of Directors. Robin’s inspiration was pivotal in executing the Health Foundation’s transformative role in our community. Under her leadership the Health Foundation has made more than 90 grants to 70 organizations since 2019, and we are poised to continue our mission well into the future.”
Recently the Foundation launched its 2023 grant cycle outlining three strategic priorities: health, access to healthcare, and mental health and wellbeing. A listening session project is also underway that will glean community feedback to assess future community improvement opportunities. In addition, new potential grant sources are in the works that will expand the Health Foundation’s investment capacity.
“I am excited for the next executive director of the Health Foundation,” Tindall said. “This is an extraordinary time and opportunity for a strong leader to experience a fulfilling, dynamic career with a growing multi-faceted organization like the Highlands Cashiers Health Foundation.”
