Harris Regional Hospital will offer a free educational event titled “Running 101: Essentials for Success” at noon Monday, April 22, in the first-floor boardroom.

Running 101 is designed to help runners and athletes of all ages stay active and performing at their best by providing education and tips when running for leisure or in preparation for an event.

Physical therapist Jared Sonnier will lead the session. He has an extensive background in evaluating athletes and runners.

With technology that allows Sonnier to capture and study a runner’s gait, athletes can receive a plan of care tailored to their specific needs.

Harris Regional’s outpatient therapy department provides a wide range of services and locations to treat patients who need assistance with vestibular rehab, lymphedema, orthopedic issues, pediatric therapy, occupational therapy and more.

Lunch will be served at the event; call 844-414-3627 to register.
