Harris Regional Hospital has added otolaryngologist Dr. Jaron Densky to Mountain Ear, Nose and Throat.

Densky graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, and completed a residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery – from the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

With a strong desire to come home to the mountains, Densky joined the Mountain Ear Nose and Throat team in the summer.

Densky is particularly interested in treatments for head and neck cancer, ear disease, nasal airway surgery and sleep surgery. He is the only ENT surgeon in the region certified to implant hypoglossal nerve stimulators for patients with obstructive sleep apnea who are intolerant to CPAP, and is looking forward to bringing this technology to the community.

Densky believes strongly in the benefits of patient education and building relationships in order to make healthcare decisions as a physician-patient team, he said.

He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology

Densky has a passion for his patients, he said.

“I treat each and every patient with a thoughtful, measured, and compassionate approach,” Densky said. “I believe in patient education, relationship building, and making decisions as a physician-patient team.”

In his free time Densky enjoys spending time with his family and staying active outdoors with his wife, daughter and extended families, he said.
