Mt. Pleasant Baptist

will have its homecoming at 10 a.m. Sunday featuring The Faithful Pilgrims as special singers.

 

First United Methodist Church of Sylva church 

will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday, July 19, and

Saturday, July 20. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the church’s mission work. The church is located at 77 Jackson Street in downtown Sylva.

 

The Summit Church

will host a Vacation Bible School program, “Camp Promise: God is Faithful,” from 5:30-7:45 p.m. Sunday, through Tuesday for ages 3 years through fifth grade. Dinner is provided each evening. Register online at www.vbspro.events/p/events.f42b1a. Summit is at 231 Dills Cove, Sylva.

 

Faith Baptist/Bridge Church 

will hold Vacation Bible School from 6-8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The program, for children 1 year old to 6th grade, is “In the Wild.”

 

Dicks Creek Baptist

will have a fundraising yard sale Saturday at Barkers Creek Community Building from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Proceeds will go for the upkeep of the church.

 

Zion Hill Baptist

will have their annual Homecoming on Sunday, with services beginning at 10:45 am. Singers will be “One Step Closer” from Bryson City. Also, anyone who wants to sing will be given the opportunity to do so. Former pastor Rev. Wesley Hooper will bring the message. Following these services, a meal will be served at the Pumpkintown Community Center. The church will provide meats with members bringing side dishes and desserts.

 

New Hope Baptist

will hold Vacation Bible School for everyone from babies through adults each evening from 6:30-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.. will have speaker Matt Queen at 11 a.m. Sunday. Queen is a professor of evangelism.
