Below are excerpts from the Jackson County Department of Public Health webpage ( devoted to the COVID-19 vaccine.

Vaccination will begin with Phase 1a and progress to 1b, 2, 3, and 4. Progression into the next phase will depend on vaccine availability and supply. JCDPH will update the public as we progress from phase to phase.

If you are interested in receiving the vaccine at JCDPH, you will be required to complete the following steps:

Register through the COVID-19 Vaccine Management System (CVMS) Portal. The Portal will walk you through a health questionnaire and will determine if you are eligible to receive a vaccine at this time. Note that access to the CVMS Portal is not yet available. This website will be updated once it is available.

If eligible to receive a vaccine, call JCDPH at 587-8289 to make an appointment. Appointments will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Arrive at JCDPH at your scheduled appointment time. Bring a copy of your photo identification and insurance card, if applicable. While vaccines are free to patients, JCDPH will be filing insurance to cover the cost of the administration fee. There will be no out-of-pocket cost to the patient.

Receive your vaccine at JCDPH. You will be asked to wait 15 minutes post vaccination to be monitored for any unexpected reasons.

After receiving your first dose of vaccine, make an appointment to receive your second dose. Receiving both doses of the vaccine is very important.

Note that vaccines are not available at JCDPH at this time. Please be flexible as we are working through an ever-changing situation. This website will be updated as we gain additional information.
