Walker being torn down on the WCU campus

Dedicated 50 years ago this month, Scott Residence Hall on the campus of Western Carolina University is being razed after housing generations of students.

Fifty-year old Scott and Walker Residence Halls on the Western Carolina University campus are currently under demolition. Work is expected to continue for the next two to three months. They will be replaced with three, potentially four, new facilities that will house about 300 students each.
