THE JACKSON COUNTY BRANCH OF THE NAACP will hold its February membership meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday in the basement Fellowship Hall of Liberty Baptist Church in Sylva. The 11 a.m. program will be a discussion of “Community Strategies Facing the White Nationalistic Epidemic.” The public is welcome.

THE JACKSON COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY monthly meeting is 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Republican Headquarters Office in Dillsboro, 52 Front St. At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 the Cashiers/Glenville precincts meet at the VFW Post, 4012 Highway 107 N., Glenville. All meetings are open to Republicans, unaffiliated and conservative voters. THE JACKSON COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at party headquarters, 500 Mill St., Sylva. The meeting is open to all Democrats. JCDP monthly meetings include all precinct officers and party executive officers, as well as representatives of auxiliary organizations (Men’s Club, Democratic Women, Young Dems). Frank Burrell, chair of JCDP, will preside.

MADISON CAWTHORN, Republican candidate for the 11th Congressional District seat, will hold a meet and greet from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bogarts. Refreshments will be served.
