The intersection of Mill and Main streets has a new look as a pergola has gone up to cover the patio of Ilda, a new eatery. Crystal Pace and her husband, Santiago Guzzetti, moved from New York City to open the 50-seat restaurant, named after Guzzetti’s Sicilian grandmother.

Guzzetti takes the apron as chef while Pace will serve as sommelier. The food will focus on fresh, handmade pasta and local ingredients.

Karen Martar, who ran Meatball’s from 1983- 2000 in that space, was Pace’s stepmother and a dish slated for the menu is Karen’s Meatballs, in her honor. The Wine Cellar sign would come down, with a mural planned for the wall behind Ilda, Guzzetti said.

Opening is set for March.
