Moody vows to remain in race

To the Editor:

In response to Mr. Zachmann's letter to the editor Aug. 29, candidates in District 2 have conducted a clean campaign, and it is a shame Mr. Zachmann has chosen to start this foolishness.

I am a candidate for county commissioner in District 2, and I intend to remain a candidate. Mr. Zachmann does not seem to realize that Sylva is not only part of Jackson County, it is also the county seat.

If elected, I will continue to be dedicated to the future growth of Sylva and Jackson County. There is no conflict between the goals of Sylva and Jackson County. What is good for one is also good for the other. In fact, many goals can be best accomplished by all local governments working together.

I feel that I have the experience and ability to work with all elected boards and serve the citizens of Jackson County.
