Draft amendment would allow ridgetop construction - The Jackson County Planning Board is considering amending the steep-slope ordinance that proved controversial when it was enacted three years ago. Rhodes Cove sewer line construction - Penrose-based contractor BlytheCo employees oversee the installation of the sewer main in Rhodes Cove last week. The $1.8 million project, which is a little behind schedule due to weather, has been in the works for about four years, said Tuckaseigee Water and Sewer Authority Director Joe Cline.
