Hooper re-elected mayor of Forest Hills Tuesday

Irene Hooper has retained her seat as mayor of the Village of Forest Hills. In elections Tuesday, Hooper received 44 votes to keep her in office for another two-year term.

Also receiving 44 votes were Harold Williford, re-elected to the village council, and Sharon Jacques, filling the council seat vacated by Jean Adams, who did not file for reelection.

In other election news Tuesday around the county, a new slate of officers was voted in at the Golden Age Club. They are Les Martin, president; Vernon Hoyle, vice president; Sally Horton, secretary; and Colleen Irby, treasurer.
