Folkmoot's international dancers to perform at WCU |

Western Carolina University will host an evening of international song, dance and cultural heritage as part of the 17th annual Folkmoot USA festival.
Groups from Egypt, Poland and Israel will perform Wednesday, July 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Hoey Auditorium.
Krakus, (left) the song and dance ensemble of the University of Mining and Metallurgy, will represent Poland. The group has been winning awards across Europe since the 1950s and has traveled all over the globe. The Egyptian AUC Folklore Ensemble from the American University in Cairo will perform dances representing the folklore of Egypt. The Holit Folk Dance Theatre Group of Beer-sheva, Israel, will combine traditional and modern dance . Advance tickets are available in the music department office, 253 Coulter Building.
