THE JACKSON COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH is accepting applications for a permanent, exempt, full-time Public Health Nursing Supervisor I. This position performs supervisory work in planning, directing, and supervising all Public Health Clinical Programs. This position is responsible for development of agency and public health program goals; training and coordinating staff development, and ensuring program compliance by reviewing all applicable program policies and procedures. This individual must have working knowledge of state and federal laws relating to public health and the NC Nurse Practice Act. This position will utilize electronic health records and other electronic documentation. Must possess and maintain a valid NC Driver's license. The salary range is $47,782.76- $59,411.84. MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A Master's degree in Nursing and two years of Public Health nursing experience; or graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and three years of Public Health nursing experience; or a Master's in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and two years of Public Health nursing experience; or graduation from a school of professional nursing and four years of professional nursing experience three of which must have been in Public Health; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing.
