JACKSON COUNTY is recruiting for a full-time Solid Waste Crew Leader who will ensure Transfer Station operations are performed safely and efficiently in compliance with established regulations. Will also operate solid waste and recycling heavy equipment; identify, push, pack trash and construction debris, identify and remove items not allowed; transport trailers, identify, load and properly transfer recyclables; clean chutes and facilities daily, remove litter from site, assist with operation of scale house, answer questions from public, load mulch and perform other duties as assigned. Must be 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED and a valid driver license are required and three years of heavy equipment operation or related experience. Will be required to obtain Transfer Station Operator certification. Starting Salary $34,129.22 per year + benefits.
