Celestial tree
Money may not grow on trees, but stars and moonbeams do on this "Celestial" tree in the lobby of First Citizens Bank of Sylva. Students in Debbie Hooper and Kyeleen Robinson's kindergarten class at Fairview Elementary School decorated this gigantic live tree with their handmade ornaments Friday, Dec. 3. "Each of the kindergarten classes has different names; ours are shining stars and moonbeams. That's why they made the star and moonbeam decorations," Robinson explained. Some of the children must be angels, too, said bank manager Scott Conner, since several of the class's decorations are handmade paper angels.
