WEBSTER BAPTIST CHURCH will hold its annual Christmas Day Dinner Outreach for those who are homebound, in nursing homes without family, and those in critical jobs having to work on Christmas Day. The church will deliver more than 300 meals and take gift bags to nursing home residents. The community is invited to participate with food or financial donations and to help with prep work on Sunday in the Fellowship Hall or with prep, cook, deliver and/or clean up efforts on Dec. 25. Donations can be mailed to Webster Baptist Church, P.O. Box 34, Webster, NC 28788. Those who would like to volunteer or are in need of a delivery, call the church office at 586-4459.

THE COMMUNITY TABLE will host a Christmas feast for those in need Christmas Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The volunteer-led meal will be serving on-site only, one meal per person present in order to make sure everyone who comes gets a meal. The menu features turkey and all the trimmings.

TRASH PICKUP FOR SYLVA residents will be altered next week. The regular Monday route will be Thursday, Dec 27, with the Wednesday route moved to Friday, Dec. 28.
