THE JACKSON COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT is partnering with Mike and Norma Clayton to prepare and promote a fall 2018 community litter sweep week, called “Cleaning Up the Mountains.” Materials such as bags, safety vests, gloves, instructions and safety information will be available at the Public Works Department, located at 876 Skyland Drive in Sylva. The actual clean-up week is scheduled for Oct. 29 through Nov. 2. Participants, once the litter sweep has been completed, can call 631-0272 and let the N.C.
