This is a wonderful salad that is easily adaptable and can be served as a snack, salad with a meal, or as a dessert.

1 pound mini marshmallows

1 large can chunk pineapple - drained

1 small jar maraschino cherries - drained

1/4 cup chopped pecans

1/2 pint whipped cream

Dressing:

Combine the following ingredients in a double boiler and cook until it starts to thicken:

Yolks of 3 eggs, lightly beaten

Juice of 1 lemon

2 tablespoons sweet cream or milk

When the dressing is cooled - add the fruits, nuts, marshmallows and cream. Stir until combined - let stand 24 hours in the refrigerator - then serve.
