The shops of Dillsboro highlight locally handmade arts and crafts at the inaugural “FALL FLING Art & Craft Walk” from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday.
Shops will feature locally handcrafted items, and local artists have been invited to display their work and demonstrate the crafting process.
Local artist Tim Ford will set up at the corner of Front and Webster streets in front of Dogwood Crafters. Junetta Pell, basket maker; Margaret Pinney, painting on wood; June Wiggins, sock knitter and others will set up there as well.
Tunnel Mountain Crafts has invited quilter Trudy Griffin, and The Corn Crib will host soap maker Madison Rogers. On the deck in front of Monkey Toes will be woodworker Bill Prather, potter Mason Ehrlacher and other invited crafters.
For musical entertainment, Twelfth Fret will perform at 1 p.m. and Anna Victoria at 2 p.m. Little Jimmy’s Italian Ices will be there, and restaurants and the brewery will be open.
